What's Happening?
As the holiday season approaches, many of us anticipate gatherings, traditions, and joyful moments. Yet for those grieving the loss of a loved one, this time of year can be especially difficult. Familiar songs, scents, and celebrations may serve as painful reminders, and the pressure to “be cheerful” can feel overwhelming.
You are not alone.
We invite you to join us at our upcoming GriefShare meeting, “Surviving the Holidays.” This special session offers a safe, caring space where you’ll find understanding,
practical tips, and encouragement from others who truly “get” what you’re going through.
At this group, you can share, listen, and receive comfort—without any pressure to talk if you’re not ready.
During our meeting, we will:
Watch a supportive, relatable video featuring grief experts and those who have found healing after loss.
Join in small-group discussion where you can talk about your feelings and experiences (or simply listen).
Receive a Holiday Survival Guide with helpful strategies for coping with difficult emotions, handling traditions, and finding new hope in the season.
Whether you’re newly bereaved or have been on your grief journey for years, GriefShare is for anyone who has lost a spouse, parent, child, family member, or friend.
Together, we will support each other through the challenges and find comfort in knowing we are not alone.
