Rosemary J. Fitchett

Rosemary J. Fitchett, age 64, of Nemaha, Iowa died Friday, November 19, 2021 in Storm Lake, Iowa. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, November 29, 2021 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in STORM LAKE. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. followed by visitation and fellowship until 6:00 p.m. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. Rosemary Julia Gibbins was born June 26, 1957 in Sac City, Iowa the daughter of Walter and Julia (White) Gibbins. Growing up, she attended school in Early at Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated in 1976 from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Storm Lake. On August 20, 1977, Rosemary was united in marriage to Michael John Fitchett in Storm Lake. Together, they were blessed with two daughters, Amanda and Jessica. Rosemary enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, sudoku and word search puzzles. In her spare time, she played candy crush, solitaire, and word scramble games. A favorite pastime of Rosemary’s was playing card and board games with family members, especially, Boggle which was her favorite. Family was very important to Rosemary and she treasured attending her grandchildren’s music concerts, ballgames or any other event they participated in. She enjoyed spending time with family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Michael “Mike” Fitchett of Nemaha, Iowa; daughters: Amanda Fitchett (fiancé, David Herwig) of Early, Iowa; Jessica (Casey) Harms of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; grandchildren: Summer and Callie Wendt; Olivia Herwig; Micah and Harlyn Harms; brothers: Doug (Jeanne) Gibbins of Omaha, Nebraska; Phillip (Ruthanne) Gibbins of Waterloo, Iowa; Ron (Myra) Gibbins of Arlington, Texas; Mike (Sue) Gibbins of Olathe, Kansas; Marion (Sue) Gibbins of Storm Lake, Iowa; sisters: Pat (Joe) Bandy of Bonner Springs, Kansas; Marlene (Ron) Teleshaw of Madrid, Iowa; Joan (Larry) Hatch of Overland Park, Kansas; extended family and friends. Rosemary was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Adams; father, Walter Gibbins; sisters: Sandy Ramthun and Elaine Gibbins; brother, Tony Gibbins; granddaughter, Angel Jo Herwig and stepfather, Joe Feilmeier.
