Karen L. Kraft

Karen L. Kraft, age 85, of Fonda, Iowa died September 21, 2025 at her residence in Fonda. Funeral Mass will take place Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Fonda. Burial will be in the St. Columbkille Catholic Cemetery in Varina. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 4-7:00 p.m. at the CHURCH. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Fonda is in charge of the arrangements. Karen was born September 11, 1940 to C. Arnold and Mary Rose (Reis) Wolf in Carroll, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St Columbkille Church in Varina and was a current member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Fonda. Growing up, Karen attended school in Varina, graduating from St. Columbkille Catholic High School in 1957 at the age of 16. On January 30, 1958, Karen was united in marriage to Fredrick Kraft at the St. Mary’s Parsonage in Storm Lake, Iowa. They were blessed with five children: Dale, Paul, Debora, Donna, and Fredrick. Karen’s first love was family, but she also loved going to the casino. If anyone said, “Let’s go to the casino!”, she was the first one in the car. Karen had many jobs in her lifetime, however, owning and running the Circle K Drive-In in Fonda for 21 years was her most rewarding. She was known for her good cooking and customers came from miles around to enjoy it, and they also became her friends. Karen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Left to cherish Karen’s memory include her children: Dale F. (Judy) Kraft of Quimby, Iowa; Paul (Kelli) Kraft of Albert City, Iowa; Debora (Neal) Lindgren of Fonda, Iowa; Donna Weiss of Mathis, Texas; Fredrick J. (Michelle) Kraft of New Boston, Missouri; brother: Ray (Mary) Wolf of Varina, Iowa; sister: Carla (Dennis) Lindgren of Varina, Iowa; grandchildren: Todd J.
