Julie Holt

Julie (Foell) Holt, age 56, of New Hope, Minnesota, died Sunday, October 4, 2015 in New Hope. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the Storm Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Humane Society of Minnesota, 475 Cleveland Avenue North, St. Paul, Minnesota 55104. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. Julie Ann Foell was born June 27, 1959 in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Helen (Matthew) Foell. Julie was baptized as an infant at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake and was later confirmed. Julie attended school in Storm Lake, graduating from Storm Lake High School in 1977. She continued her education at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville and also at Mankato State University. On January 29, 1994, Julie was united in marriage to Robin Holt at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. After a five year stay in New Mexico, the couple moved back to New Hope, Minnesota. Julie enjoyed baking cakes, cooking, crafts, and going on drives. She was an avid collector of Barbies and perfumes. She was also a dog lover, and was known for spoiling them. Most of all, Julie loved spending time with her family, especially her husband, Robin. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robin Holt of New Hope, Minnesota; mother, Helen Foell of Storm Lake, Iowa; mother-in-law, Carol Holt of Knoxville, Tennessee; brother, Jim (Terry) Foell of Storm Lake, Iowa; sisters-in-law: Kim (Marty) Garcia of York, Pennsylvania; Shannon Bates of Phoenix, Arizona; brother-in-law, Patrick Holt of New Ulm, Minnesota; nieces and nephews: Amy Foell, Nick Foell, Mindy Wiltse, Jeff Foell, Jon Foell, James Garcia, Stephanie Dersh, Michelle Garcia, Hunter Holt, Gretchen Holt, Matthew Bates; and her furry friends, Baci and Coccolare; extended family and friends. Julie was preceded in death by her father, Richard; father-in-law, James Holt; and two great nieces, Madison and Hailey.
