Fayetta Konradi

Fayetta Konradi, age 83, of Storm Lake, Iowa died Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, November 17, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 4-7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5-7:00 p.m. along with a rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. all at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in care of Fayetta Konradi, 1615 West Milwaukee Avenue, Storm Lake, Iowa 50588. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. Fayetta Jean Murr was born November 26, 1930 in Odebolt, Iowa the daughter of Rose (Werkmeister) and Arthur J. Murr. She was baptized on April 15, 1936 at the Methodist Church in Odebolt, Iowa where she was later confirmed. She later became a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Growing up, Fayetta attended school in Odebolt where she graduated in 1949. Following high school graduation, Fayetta worked at D & E Café in Odebolt. On November 9, 1950 Fayetta was united in marriage to Earl J. Konradi at the Methodist Church parsonage in Odebolt. Fayetta and Earl enjoyed working together at their DX Station where Fayetta was the bookkeeper. Together, they were blessed with four children: Tom, Rick, Randy, and Jean. They later renewed their vows at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Fayetta loved to cook and bake. She was known in the family as an excellent cook. Fayetta always thought of others before herself. She thoroughly enjoyed being able to babysit and care for her grandchildren. Spending time with family was very important to Fayetta. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Tom (Lori) Konradi of Ruthven, Iowa; Rick (Angie) Konradi of Perry, Iowa; Randy (Barb) Konradi of Storm Lake, Iowa; Jean (Bill) Eimers of Storm Lake, Iowa; grandchildren: Elton (Jen) Konradi; Lance (fiancé, Elizabeth Bochtler) Konradi; Kevin Konradi; Alicia (Vit) Baccam; Ashlie Konradi; Chris (fiancé, Michelle Mills) Konradi; Paige Konradi; Tara Jean Konradi (Alexei Alvarado); Ethan and Dakota Eimers; two great grandchildren: Ava Konradi and Ian Konradi; sisters: Delores Srpouse of Aurelia, Iowa; Barb (Dick) Glau of Lakeview, Iowa; brothers: Ronald (Bernice) Murr of Odebolt, Iowa; Jerry (Mary) Murr of Cornig, Missouri; sister-in-law, Laura Madsen of Storm Lake, Iowa; extended family and many friends. Fayetta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Konradi; one brother, Donald; brother-in-law, Joe Sprouse; and infant grandson, Jesse Konradi.
