Cory Francis Urban

Cory Francis Urban, age 24, of Schaller, Iowa died Thursday, April 20, 2017 in rural Storm Lake. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Hope Evangelical Free Church in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. Cory Francis Urban was born November 28, 1992 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Craig and Connie (Schmidt) Urban. He attended school at Newell-Fonda, and graduated from Storm Lake High School in 2011. Cory worked in production at Rembrandt Foods. Outside of work, Cory enjoyed skateboarding in Carpe Diem skating group with his friends, playing baseball, and golfing. He made great memories grilling with friends he made over the years. Most of all, Cory loved his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Connie Urban of Newell, Iowa; sisters: Amanda Urban of Schaller, Iowa; Nina Zebley of Newton, Iowa; grandmother, Melva Urban of Newell, Iowa; brother-in-law, Adam Lesher of Schaller, Iowa; sister-in-law, Amanda Clark of Ida Grove, Iowa; nieces and nephews: Savannah, Colton, and Cash Lesher of Schaller, Iowa; Destiny and McKenna Davis of Newton, Iowa; aunts and uncles: Doug and Andrea Urban of Quimby, Iowa; Linda and Warren Ehrp of Schaller, Iowa; Penny Sullivan of Schaller, Iowa; Wayne and Nancy Schmidt of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; Lana Schmidt of Schaller, Iowa; Billie Poamz of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; cousins: Daniel (Kailey) and their son: Eli Urban, Becca, Naomi, Bethany, and Nate Urban of Quimby, Iowa; Mason Walter (Ali Swanson) of Schaller, Iowa; Bryan Brock (Randa) of Schaller, Iowa; Sean (Paula) and his son: Wyatt Ehrp, Holly and her children: Jordan Ocegueda and Brevin Galvin, Darren, and Dale Ehrp of Schaller, Iowa; Cara (Jamie) McLandsborough and their children: Tracy, Taylor, and Tyler of Omaha, Nebraska; extended family and many friends. Cory was preceded in death by his father, Craig Francis Urban; paternal grandfather, Francis Urban; maternal grandparents: Don and Lorene Schmidt; and uncle, Ronny Schmidt.
