William Pewsey DVM

William C. Pewsey DVM, age 86, of Storm Lake, Iowa died November 14, 2021 at Methodist Manor Retirement Community in Storm Lake. Funeral Service will be Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Summit Evangelical Free Church in Alta, Iowa. Burial will be at Storm Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in STORM LAKE. An Odd Fellows ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. after the visitation. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of arrangements. William Charles Pewsey was born November 3, 1935 in Storm Lake, Iowa to Hobart and Ruby (Anderson) Pewsey. Bill went to grade school in Hayes Consolidated School and graduated in 1953. He went on to Iowa State University to pursue Veterinary Medicine. Bill graduated in 1959 as the 2nd in his class with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine with honors of Magna Cum Laude. On December 29, 1957, Bill was united in marriage to Barbara Lou Cundiff at the Storm Lake Methodist Church. They were blessed with four children: William, Charles, Jennifer, and Melissa. He was a part of the Rotary Club and Odd Fellows. Bill enjoyed gardening, board games, and cards. He was always supporting his children and grandchildren at their sporting events. He loved to travel and visit his family. Bill vacationed to Branson, Missouri, Okoboji, Iowa, Canada, Washington D.C., and Georgia. Those left to cherish his memories are his children: William (Joni) Pewsey of Phoenix, Arizona; Jennifer (Ed) Tullar of Belmont, North Carolina; Melissa (Chris) Richter of Storm Lake, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Malida Rogers of Charleston, South Carolina; sisters: Joan Stickrod of Omaha, Nebraska; Carol Perkinson of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren: Crystal Pewsey of Phoenix, Arizona; Casey Fulgham of Phoenix, Arizona; Kyle Pewsey of Phoenix, Arizona; Colette Pewsey of Phoenix, Arizona; Matthew Pewsey of Ooltewah, Tennessee; Anthony Pewsey Rogers of Charleston, South Carolina; Emilee Tullar of Chicago, Illinois; Carlee (Colton) Warnke of Reinbeck, Iowa; Katie Tullar of Nashville, Tennessee; Jason (Mallory) Richter of Aurelia, Iowa; Isaac (Bobbie Jo) Richter of Storm Lake, Iowa; great-grandchildren: Eliana Fulgham of Phoenix, Arizona; Ava Fulgham of Phoenix, Arizona; Shea Fulgham of Phoenix, Arizona; Katie Pewsey of Phoenix, Arizona; Easton Richter of Aurelia, Iowa; Callan Richter of Aurelia, Iowa; and extended family and friends. William is preceded in death by his parents, Hobart and Ruby Pewsey; wife, Barbara Pewsey; son, Chuck Pewsey.
