Simon Malou Mut, age 60, of Storm Lake Iowa, died January 20, 2022, at Mercy One Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake, Iowa. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of arrangements. Simon Malou Mut was born on January 1, 1962 in Aokobo, South Sudan to Malou Mut Ruech and Nyapal Luk Deng. He graduated high school in Khartoum, Sudan. Simon attended college in Eldoret, Kenya and graduated with a two year degree. Simon was united in marriage to Martha Biel. To this union, seven children were born: Mut Malou, Diew Malou, Nyapal Malou, Chakouthchok Malou, Ruech Malou, Nyabieu Malou, Nyagak Malou. Simon is survived by his wife, Martha Biel of Storm Lake, Iowa; children: Mut Malou of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Diew Malou of Dallas, Texas; Nyapal Malou of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Chakouthchok Malou of Storm Lake, Iowa; Ruech Malou of Storm Lake, Iowa; Nyabieu Malou of Storm Lake, Iowa; Nyagak Malou of Storm Lake, Iowa; and sister-in-law: Mary Thoa of Storm Lake, Iowa.
