Norman Johan Lund Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Norman Johan Lund, age 92, of Storm Lake, Iowa died December 29, 2021 at the Newell Good Samaritan Center in Newell, Iowa. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa. A come-and-go visitation will follow the service from 2-4:00 p.m. at the FUNERAL HOME. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. Norm was born on a farm west of Newell and spent his years farming and 25 years as BV County Weed Commissioner after faithfully serving his country in the Army. Norm is survived by his immediate family and many extended family who loved him dearly. When Norman married Joan in November, 1989, his family grew to include three children: Brent, Shelley, and Trent. Norman’s strong will and unwavering faith in God helped him navigate his 92 years with unbelievable grace and love toward his family, friends and neighbors. Norman is survived by his wife, Joan (Thies) Lund; children: Brent (Joni) Sliefert; Shelley (Dennis) Downing; Trent (Jenifer) Sliefert; grandchildren: Zachary Sliefert; Michala Sliefert; Samuel Sliefert; Alyson (Lovell) Rattler; Breanna (Joshua) Doubrava; Jennifer Downing; Joseph (Samantha) Downing; Trey Sliefert; Jackson Sliefert (Skyla Harger); Dylan Sliefert; ; great-grandchildren: Cole Downing; Callen Downing; Hendrix Norman Rattler; sister: Ruby Haahr; nieces and nephews: Rod Rasmussen; Layne Rasmussen; Lisa Kempfert; Marsha Sedlacek; Dana Haahr; Dennis Haahr; Dan Grundmeier; Gary Grundmeier; Lynn Snyder; Anders Lund; Deb McKinney; Rita Matthaidess.
