Leland Beery Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Leland Paul "Butch" Beery, age 73, of Alta, Iowa formerly Clarinda, Iowa, died January 6, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Center in Newell. A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 1-3:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in STORM LAKE. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. Leland Paul was born October 13, 1948 in Clarinda, Iowa the son of Leland and Ruth (Cullison) Beery. Growing up, he attended school in Clarinda and graduated from Clarinda High School. On August 11, 2004, Leland was united in marriage to Diana Stull in Clarinda. He worked at Jennings Service in Clarinda and Opitz Motor Company in Clarinda. He also worked at Earl May Trial Grounds in Shenandoah before working at Pella Corporation in Shenandoah. Leland treasured cars all his life. He enjoyed watching television shows, especially old westerns. Together, Leland and Diana would often drive around and go sightseeing. Leland was known to joke around with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Diana Beery; children: Melissa, Leland, Kim, Chad and Brian; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Gary (Delores) Beery; sisters: Judy (Dick) Lovitt; Pat Cole; sisters-in-law: Jane Madden; Cindy Marvin) Wernimont; Cheryl (David) Deman; Sonya Stull; brothers-in-law: Nick Stull; Lonny (Renee) Stull; many nieces and nephews; extended family and many friends. Leland was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Ruth Beery, and his grandparents.
