Janelle Gustafson

Janelle D. Gustafson of Storm Lake, Iowa died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's in Sioux City, Iowa. A come and go Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 2-4:00 p.m. at the Alta Golf & Country Club in Alta. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. Janelle Kramer was born February 12, 1944 in George, Iowa the daughter of Jon and Maria (Harms) Kramer. Growing up, she attended school in George where she graduated from George High School. Following high school graduation, Janelle continued her education at Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa and then at the University of South Dakota in Vermilion, South Dakota. On August 20, 1970, Janelle was united in marriage to Steve Gustafson in LeMars. Together, they had two daughters, Jane and Sally. In her spare time, Janelle enjoyed reading and crocheting. She loved sitting in the sunshine and travelling to Tucson, Arizona for the winters. Together, Steve and Janelle enjoyed playing many rounds of golf. Family was important to Janelle and she especially loved spoiling her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Steve Gustafson of Storm Lake, Iowa; daughters: Jane (Tim) Youngdahl of Spencer, Iowa; Sally (Eric) Wurtele of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren: Andee Youngdahl, Ian Youngdahl, Noah Wurtele, Hannah Wurtele, Hope Wurtele, and Gracie Wurtele; brother, Norman (Cindy) Kramer of Rock Rapids, Iowa; sisters: Mary Jo (Jerry) Goswick of George, Iowa; Janet (William) Meyers of Wausau, Wisconsin; Darby (Dave) Marsh of Mankato, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Jan (Frank) Klahs; nieces; nephews; extended family and many friends.
