Robert "Bob" Hall

Robert R. “Bob” Hall, age 80, of Storm Lake, Iowa died August 14, 2021, at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake, Iowa. Memorial Services will be Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Storm Lake, Iowa. Bob’s Final Round Celebration will be held after the service from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Buena Vista University Golf Course at Lake Creek. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorial funds can be donated to the Robert Hall Memorial Fund. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of arrangements. Robert R. Hall, was born on November 28, 1940 in Ponca, NE to Robert F. & Edna (Tuning) Hall. Bob grew up in Cherokee, IA where he excelled in track and football. He continued playing football in college and graduated from State College of Iowa (now UNI) in 1964. He served in the Army Reserves from 1966- 1972. Bob’s early career included retail in Omaha and Denver. The family relocated to Storm Lake in 1975 where he initially worked in banking. He began selling real estate in the mid 1980’s, later adding appraisal services until his retirement. During his 35-year marriage to Pat Cowan, they welcomed two children, Todd Hall and Stacey (Hall) Eddie. Bob built his life around growing his business and raising kids. He rarely missed a game or meet, and was always ready to assist on the Sunday morning paper route. In 2001, he married Nancy (Mensing) Hultgren and their family multiplied with kids and grandkids. Winters were spent in Tucson, AZ playing golf and enjoying casinos. Summers were spent playing speedy rounds at Lake Creek until his body said “fore.” His lifetime tally of 8 hole-in-ones is notable. In his final days, he loved offering support (and commentary) from the front row at his grandsons’ baseball games. Bob’s internal clock was tightly wound resulting in perpetually early arrivals at most events. He was short on patience, but long on love for those close to him. He cherished his family, golf, and the Huskers - usually in that order. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. and Edna Hall, his step-brother Donald Hall and sister-in-law Melba Hall. Left to carry on his legacy are his wife Nancy Hall, his children Todd (Sirpa) Hall and Stacey (Steve) Eddie; step-children Jeff (Trisha) Hultgren, Jennifer (Mike) Kaskey, Jon (Katie) Hultgren, Joe Hultgren; grandchildren Spencer Hall, Mark and Jake Eddie, Emma, Ellie, and Eva Kaskey, Grant & Luke Hultgren; and extended family.
