Naomi K Shaeffer

Naomi Kathleen Shaeffer, age 89, of Storm Lake, Iowa died December 24, 2021 at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Visitation will be at Fratzke & Jensen at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in STORM LAKE is in charge of arrangements. Naomi Kathleen Teague was born September 19, 1932 in Schaller, Iowa the daughter of Avis Audra (Rowe) and Lemuel Teague. As an infant, Naomi was baptized at the Presbyterian Church in Schaller where she was later confirmed. Growing up, Naomi attended school in Schaller where she graduated from Schaller High School in 1951. On June 13, 1954, Naomi was united in marriage to Gerald Lee Shaeffer at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. Together, they were blessed with two children: Sandra Kathleen and Terri Lee. Naomi enjoyed bowling, doing puzzles and word searches. Her favorite was playing marbles with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to coffee with retired telephone operators. Naomi loved riding on the motorcycle with Jerry in their younger days and taking family vacations. She also enjoyed boating and camping. Naomi treasured her family, especially visiting with grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Sandra (Dale) Armstrong of Storm Lake, Iowa; Terri (Rick) Swanson of Storm Lake, Iowa; grandchildren: Brandon (Krystal) Armstrong of Graettinger, Iowa; Justin Armstrong of Estherville, Iowa; Tyler Armstrong of Storm Lake, Iowa; Greg (Kristina) Swanson of Fort Dodge, Iowa; Rachel Swanson of Aurelia, Iowa; Melissa (Chris) Bendixen of Aurelia, Iowa; great grandchildren: Brody, Braxton, and Brinley Armstrong; Landyn, Kenleigh, and Grayson Armstrong; Jayden Armstrong; and Emma Swanson; extended family and friends. Naomi is preceded in death by her parents, Avis Audra and Lemuel Teague; husband, Gerald L. Shaeffer; brothers: William, George, Russell, Cecil and Dudley Teague; sisters: Illetta Barclay, Marjorie Carver, Phyllis Hulsebus, Lois Ellsworth, Dorothy Burrow
