Naomi Hinkel

Naomi C. HInkel, age 82, of Storm Lake, Iowa died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at North Lake Manor in Storm Lake. Naomi was born June 1, 1930 to Clarence â€œBusâ€ and Marjorie (Riley) Fouts in Pisgah, Iowa. She graduated with the Class of 1948 from Pisgah High School. Following graduation, she received her certification to teach and taught at Murray Hill Country School. On December 31, 1949, Naomi was united in marriage to Roy Hinkel at the Lutheran Church in Moorhead, Iowa. Naomi had a love for helping others, whether it be providing in home care, preparing food to take to others, or any chore that was needed. She continued helping others until shortly before her death. She enjoyed working at the Loess Hills DNR Center in Pisgah where she was provided several opportunities to meet new people and share the knowledge of the Loess Hills. Family was very important to Naomi. She treasured spending time with family and friends and will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Becky (Terry) Coyle of Storm Lake, Iowa; Debby (Larry) McClellan; Brian (Terri) Hinkel of Gillette, Wyoming; grandchildren: Michelle (Alan) Axelson of Idaho; Kayle (Darla) Coyle of Early, Iowa; Jason (Stephanie) McClellan of Cherokee, Iowa; Sally Coyle (significant other, Charles Van Zandt) of Clive, Iowa; Jeremiah (Toni) McClellan of Schaller, Iowa; Tempestt McClellan of Cherokee, Iowa; Westin and Camdin Hinkel of Gillette, Wyoming; great grandchildren: Baylee and Kieffer Axelson; Brandon (Abby) Pedersen; Brock Pedersen; Kyle, Taya, Megan, and Molly Coyle; Chloe and Nia Jackson; Samantha Cripps; Hayley and Jefferey McClellan; Jonathan Oehler; Skyler Klepps; ZoeÃ© McClellan; sisters, Dee Fouts of Omaha, Nebraska and Linda Sills of Lawton, Oklahoma; extended family and friends. Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hinkel; parents, Clarence â€œBusâ€ and Marjorie Fouts; sisters and brothers: Joann Peterson, Cathy Hammitt, Doyle Fouts, and Mickey Fouts; grandchildren, Zachariah McClellan and Inga McClellan.
