Lori Meyers, age 62, of Kansas City, Missouri and formerly of Schaller, Iowa died Tuesday, April 8, 2025 in Kansas City. Funeral services will take place as scheduled despite the loss of power at the funeral home due to bad weather. Funeral services will take place Friday, April 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in STORM LAKE. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family has requested that guests wear bright colors or purple which was her favorite color. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations for funeral costs with the unexpected death. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. Lori Ann Meyers was born June 29, 1962 to Merle Madsen and Arleen (Bumann) Ivers in Storm Lake, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in a catholic church in Schaller, Iowa. Lori graduated from Schaller High School, then went on to graduate from DMACC in Des Moines, Iowa. Lori was united in marriage to David Meyers on November 7, 1987 in California. To this union, three children were born: Lindsay, Traci, and Kristen. Lori later married Mark Seeman. Lori was the ultimate hostess, cooking and baking for her family and friends. She loved soaking up the sunshine, tending to her flowers, and going camping. When she wasn’t outside, Lori enjoyed putting together puzzles, reading books, and visiting the library. On game day, you could find her cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. Lori’s grandchildren brought her great joy, and she treasured her time with them. For all who knew her, Lori had the kindest heart and the most contagious laugh. Her constant care for others showed how big her heart was. She loved hard and always showed up for people no matter the circumstance. She will be missed greatly, as she brought a smile to so many faces. We will cherish every memory we shared with her and carry on her loving spirit. Left to cherish Lori’s memory include her husband: Mark Seeman of Bonner Springs, Kansas; children: Lindsay (Colton) Edwards of Gower, Missouri; Traci (Craig) Sitzman of Leawood, Kansas; Kristen (La’Bradford) Harold of Mesa, Arizona; brothers: Don Madsen of California; Jim Madsen of Iowa; sisters: Carolyn Hunter of Texas; Joyce Huster of Iowa; Janet Madsen of Arizona; Shirley Adams of Iowa; Pam Adams of Iowa; Pat Babcock of Arizona; Nancy Overmohle of Iowa; grandchildren: Charlotte, Lucy, Ruby, and Roper Edwards; Harrison, Owen, and Jack Sitzman; Tyleigh and Ariyon Harold; extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father: Merle Madsen; mother: Arleen Ivers; stepfather: Henry Ivers; brother: Michael Madsen; and sister: Susan Naberhaus.
