Jeffrey Warren Meusburger

Jeff Meusburger, age 56, of Tyler, Minnesota and formerly of Truesdale, Iowa died November 9, 2011 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Jeffrey Warren Meusburger was born November 18, 1954 in Lake City, Iowa the son of Merle â€œMikeâ€ and Jessie (Means) Meusburger. Growing up, he was baptized at the Presbyterian Church in Lytton, Iowa and later confirmed at the Methodist Church. He attended school in Truesdale where he graduated in 1973. On November 22, 1974 Jeff was united in marriage to Terry Lullmann at the Zion Lutheran Church in rural Storm Lake. Together, they were blessed with three daughters, Heather, Meg and Daniell. Jeff was a member of the Truesdale Fire Department for 15 years where he served as the Fire Chief. In his younger years, Jeff was a Boy Scout, played football and participated in wrestling. He was also the Homecoming King. Jeff enjoyed helping others and helped build the Community Center in Truesdale and two houses. He also took pleasure in helping his family restore their houses. In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed being outdoors, especially gardening, hunting and fishing. He loved nature and going camping and hiking at Peterson Park. Jeff enjoyed traveling and has traveled to Oregon, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. He loved spending time with his family, especially playing with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Terry Meusburger of Tyler, Minnesota; daughters: Heather (Curt) Christiansen of Newell, Iowa; Meg (Mark) Nielsen of Truesdale, Iowa; Daniell (Jake) Harder of rural Truesdale, Iowa ; grandchildren: Kaylea and Hunter Christiansen; Jayden and Preston Harder; and Melea Nielsen; mother, Jessie Meusburger of Truesdale, Iowa; brothers: Allan (Deb) Meusburger of Laurens, Iowa; Kelly (Lisa) Meusburger of Schaller, Iowa; sisters: Joleen (John) Owens of Aurelia, Iowa; sister-in-law, Kelly Jo Meusburger of Truesdale, Iowa; extended family and many friends. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Merle â€œMikeâ€ Meusburger; grandparents, Warren and Ruby Meusburger; Jabe and Goldie Means; brother, Micheal J. Meusburger; and father-in-law, Elmer Lullmann.
