Jacqueline J. Kelly, age 90, of Varina, Iowa died Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the Pleasant View Home in Albert City, Iowa. Funeral Mass will take place Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Varina. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the CHURCH. Jacqueline June (Anderson) Kelly was born September 18, 1930, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Leonard and Hilda (Funk) Anderson. Growing up, Jacqueline was raised in the Ware, Iowa area and graduated from Ware High School with the class of 1948. Jacqueline was a member of St. Columbkille Church in Varina, Iowa. She was an active member of the Varina American Legion Auxiliary, serving as past president, and past district president, the PTA and the Fonda Music Boosters. On September 12, 1958, Jacqueline was united in marriage to Francis “Kid” Kelly at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Gardena, California. She was blessed with ten children: Rebecca, Chris, Kevin, Michelle, Gregory, Nancy, Joleen, Andrew, Elizabeth and Regina. Jacqueline enjoyed playing the piano, reading, puzzles and sewing her kid’s clothing. She loved babies and was the “best big sister” to her sisters. She treasured spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Jacqueline is survived her children: Rebecca (Walt) Rogers, Chris (Rochelle) Johnson, Kevin (Emily) Kelly, Michelle (Al) Handrow, Gregory (Kathy) Kelly, Nancy Kelly, Joleen (Daron) Anderson, Andrew (Quin) Kelly, Elizabeth Franker and Regina (Mike) Menke; sisters: Patsi Nystrom and Hilda (Harry) Rein; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Henrie (Jim) Anderson-Hiotts and Lydia Kelly; nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Lawrence Anderson; granddaughter, Emily June Menke; parents-in-law; nieces, Cindy Kelly Johnson; sisters-in-law: Mary Hoye; Mary Kelly, Katherine Kelly; brothers-in-law: Robert Nystrom, Louis Kelly; Keith Kelly; James Kelly; nephews: Joe Hoye, Richard Anderson and Timothy Nystrom.
