Irene Rose Bibler

Irene Rose Bibler, age 90, of Alta, Iowa died January 20, 2024 at Good Samaritan Society in Holstein, Iowa. Private family services were held at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. Irene Rose Guthridge was born November 14, 1933, the daughter of John and Edna (Downey) Guthridge in Woodbury County, Iowa. She attended school at Sutherland High School, graduating in 1952. Irene was united in marriage to Harold Bibler on August 12, 1956 at the Riverside Presbyterian Church in Linn Grove, Iowa. To this union, five children were born: Dan, Kris, Rick, Cindy, and Becky. Irene farmed with her husband Harold, helping with planting and harvesting of the crops and caring for the animals. She devoted countless hours of hard work, passing this work ethic on to her children and grandchildren. Irene enjoyed gardening, tending to flowers, crocheting, knitting, and making many craft projects for her children and grandchildren. Her family looked forward to her homemade cakes for their various celebrations and many special baked treats were always available when children and grandchildren visited. Irene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Left to cherish Irene’s memory include her children: Dan Bibler of Alta, Iowa; Kris (Tony) Origer of Fairmont, Minnesota; Rick (Yumi) Bibler of Alta, Iowa; Cindy (Brian) Glienke of Aurelia, Iowa; Becky Hoffman of Ankeny, Iowa; brothers: Vernon Guthridge of Peterson, Iowa; Russell Guthridge of Aurelia, Iowa; grandchildren: Kaylynn (Lee) Steinkamp of Fairmont, Minnesota; Tonya (Chad) Carlson of Granda, Minnesota; Mark Origer (fiance Grace Hermer) of Madison Lake, Minnesota; Jake Bibler (special friend Syd Getzshcman) of Alta, Iowa; Jessy Bibler of Alta, Iowa; Jackson Mills of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Jesse Boehmer of Galva, Iowa; Niki (Ben) Carstens of Bagley, Iowa; Adam (Amy) Glienke of Washta, Iowa; Stacie Glienke of West Des Moines, Iowa; Alicia (Brendan) Leiran of Marion, Iowa; Michael Hoffman (special friend Haley Kloberdanz) of Des Moines, Iowa; great-grandchildren: Luther and Iris Steinkamp; Cahpri and Cavan Carlson; Albert Glienke; Sloane and Beau Leiran; extended family and friends.
