Adelynn Mae Wiley

Adelynn Mae Wiley was born to Ryan and Audrey Wiley on June 25, 2020 at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake, Iowa. On May 16, 2021, our sweet princess on earth unexpectedly became our beautiful Angel in Heaven. Memorial services will be Wednesday May 19, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Fratzke and Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Visitation will be 1-3:00 p.m. before the memorial service at the funeral home. Family requests that all guests wear a mask. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to CureSMA or the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in Adelynn's honor. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of arrangements. Adelynn smiled at us the day she was born and never faced a challenge that could dull her shine. During her short life, her parents and brother loved watching her gain new strengths and were happy to cheer her on every step of the way. She gained a huge following of support through “Adelynn’s Army” and had countless people hoping and praying for her. Adelynn loved bath time and “swimming” in her otteroo. She was overjoyed watching her big brother dance around and sing his silly songs. Her face always lit up at the sound of the garage door opening when Dada came home. When she wasn’t working hard at her therapy appointments, she spent her days being mama’s personal assistant. Although she loved to interrupt mama’s work calls with her sweet babbles and made a habit of falling asleep on the job, she was the best little assistant. Adelynn’s favorite trick was taking her oxygen off at night so her alarm would sound and wake mama. Once she found her voice, she never stopped babbling. Bumpa would say she gets this from her mama. She loved saying “mama”, “dada”, “bub” (for her brother) and “yeah”. She found herself to be quite funny shaking her head “no” at everything and giggling at you if you fake scolded her. She loved to growl at dad and big brother will miss all of her baby talking and saying “doy doy doy”. Adelynn faced every day of her life with her bright blue eyes and a huge smile. She taught us a lot about faith, happiness, and unconditional love. Layton hopes his sissy knows that he misses her, she was the most beautiful baby he’d ever seen, and he’ll miss snuggling her. Mama, Dada, Big Brother and countless others were touched by her life and will miss her dearly. Adelynn is survived by her parents, Ryan & Audrey Wiley and the best big brother, Layton (Storm Lake), grandparents, Rob & Phyllis Wells (Storm Lake), Doug & Sherry Allen (Schaller), Dale & Doris Wiley (Storm Lake), many great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousin and friends. Adelynn was preceded in death by her Great Great Grandma, Mae Dewey and Great Grandma, Barbara Dewey.
