Arletta F. Stille

Arletta Florence (Wendel) Stille, age 92, a resident of Sac City, Iowa and formerly of Schaller, Iowa, died September 3, 2019 in Sac City. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Schaller with Pastor David Lyons officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the CHURCH. Burial will be in the Schaller Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is in charge of the arrangements. Arletta was born September 16, 1926 in Sac County, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Matilda (Fett) Wendel. Arletta was baptized on October 1, 1926 at St. John Lutheran Church in Alta, Iowa and confirmed May 5, 1940 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Schaller, Iowa. Arletta graduated from high school at the Schaller Community School on May 11, 1944. On February 20, 1950, Arletta was united in marriage to Kenneth Stille at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Schaller. This union was blessed with three daughters: Ruth Ann, Beverly and Linda. Arletta and Kenneth farmed in rural Schaller. Arletta loved her cats and the birds, especially robins, and enjoyed her flowers and the African violets she grew for years. Arletta was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Schaller and was a Sunday School teacher for several years. Arletta had a close relationship with God and was always mindful of keeping others in her prayers. Her deep faith was an inspiration to her family. Survivors include her daughters: Ruth Ann Bauman and her husband Duane of Sac City, Beverly Stille of Cincinnati, Ohio and Linda Stille of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren: Denise Mustaine and her husband Jon, Stacey Bauman and Lisa Scuito; great-grandchildren: Rylan, Grace and Taylor Mustaine, Ashton Scuito and Aiden Musgrave; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Hilda Wendel (surviving spouse of Floyd Wendel), Mary E. Stille (surviving spouse of Donald Stille), Connie Stille (surviving spouse of Richard Stille), Donald Carter (surviving spouse of Jeanette Carter) and Dorothy and Melvin Ploeger; nieces, nephews and extended family. Arletta was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Stille; her parents; her sisters and brother: Ruth (Lee) Witte, Berneita (Paul) Wogahn and Floyd Wendel; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Ruth Wogahn (second wife of Paul Wogahn), Clarabelle Stille, Donald Stille, Marvin (Marlene) Stille, Richard (Donna Jean) Stille, Russell (Patricia) Stille, Jeanette Carter and Howard (Mary R.) Stille; nieces and nephew: Anita Wendel, Diane Wogahn, Cyndi (Ploeger) Wolf and Randy Stille; and other extended family and friends.
