Richard J. Kay, age 71, of Storm Lake, Iowa passed away on Friday, May 2, 2008 at Careage Hill Nursing Home in Cherokee, Iowa.

No services are scheduled. Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Mason City, Iowa.

Richard J. Kay was born on September 16, 1936 in Mason City, Iowa to James and Stella Kay. He was baptized into the Catholic faith as an infant. He graduated from Mason City High School. Richard enjoyed many activities such as fishing, traveling and flying remote control airplanes.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers: Jim (Blanche) Kay of Bettendorf, Iowa and Jerry (Ann) Kay of Spanaway, Washington; and sister, Jean (James) Osegaro of Storm Lake, Iowa.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, James and Stella Kay; one sister, Josephine; and one brother, Donald.
