Jane Elaine was born on June 6, 1933 in Cherokee, Iowa to Earl and Jane Ellen (Munson) Covey. She graduated from Aurelia High School in 1952. Jane then attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

On June 14, 1959 Jane was united in marriage to Emmett Keith Mohror at St. John’s Church south of Peterson, Iowa. Jane brought into this world six children: Peter, Kirk, Eric, Adam, Andrew and Susan.

Jane started her career path as a teacher and spent the last part of her career with the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society, first as a floor aide and later, after completing her degree in Long Term Health Care Administration, as an administrator for numerous facilities across the state of Iowa. Jane officially retired in 1999, but continued as an interim administrator until her latest illness forced her into full retirement in 2007.

Jane’s love for God and Jesus was evident everyday and she lived her life as a devoted Christian which allowed her to touch the lives of family and friends with love, warmth, and humor. She was an active member of St. John’s Church. Jane had a love for dogs from her first, Jodie, through the many that she and other family members brought home. She was active in many community groups including the Heritage Society, Red Hat Society, American Legion Auxiliary, the Rushing Brook Club, Women’s Federation, and former member of the Peterson City council. Jane loved to go camping, spending many weekends with her husband Keith and what ever dog they had at the time, enjoying the quiet solitude of nature.

Left to cherish Jane’s memories are her husband of 48 years, Keith Mohror of Peterson; children: Peter Mohror and his companion Kathy Morrison of West Des Moines, Iowa; Kirk Mohror and his wife Pat of Spokane, Washington; Eric Mohror and his wife Erin of Peterson; Adam Mohror and his wife Beth of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Andrew Mohror of Peterson; and Susan Studer and her husband Richard of Estherville, Iowa; grandchildren: Joshua and Trevor Mohror, Jacob and Krista Johnson of Spokane, Washington; Laurren and Nathan Mohror of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Derrick and Caleb Mohror of Peterson; Veronica and Matthew Studer of Estherville, Alan Studer and his wife Kathleen of Willard, Ohio; great-grandchildren; Kylie Esposito of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Dystany, Paris, and Micheal Studer of Willard, Ohio; two brothers: Jim Covey and his wife Mary of Clive, Iowa; and Mark Covey and his wife Karen of Morrison, Colorado; sister-in-law: Betty Franken of Schaller, Iowa; many extended family and friends.
