Ingrid J. Koss, age 70, of Storm Lake, Iowa died on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Buena Vista Manor care center in Storm Lake.

Funeral services for Mrs. Koss will be held on Friday, January 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in Storm Lake Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

A time of visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the start of services on Friday.

Ingrid Johanna Blawert was born February 16, 1938 in Buschow, Germany, the daughter of Robert and Johanna (Jachinsky) Blawert. She was married to Darrel Koss, Sr. on August 7, 1959 in Germany.

Ingrid enjoyed visiting with her friends, listening to music, dancing, and watching reruns of “I Love Lucy” on television. She loved her family and treasured any time she was able to spend with them.

Survivors include her children: Darrel Koss, Jr., Darnel Grier, Tammy Flanigan, Dennis (Lisa) Koss and Stephanie Kimbrough; her grandchildren: Ian, Morgan, Christine, Heather, Dylan, Meg, Kenric and Ariel; five great-grandchildren; brother Otto (Ellen) Blawert and sister Gerda (Wilhelm) Leuze; two special friends, Hanna Campbell and Joy Johnson; extended family and friends.

Ingrid was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Johanna; one brother; and her longtime companion, Louie Lill.
