Glenice Robinson
A memorial service for Mrs. Robinson will be held Saturday, September 20th at 10:30 a.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller. Burial will be in Schaller Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is in charge of the arrangements. Glenice Lavonne Pfrimmer was born on February 20, 1927 in Lucas County, Iowa, one of ten children born to George and Loy (Hall) Pfrimmer. She attended school in Lucas and Boone, Iowa and graduated from Boone High School in 1945. On January 5, 1946, Glenice married John H. Robinson in Cherokee, Iowa. The couple was blessed were three children: James, Malia and Cathy. Glenice later trained as a laboratory/x-ray technician and she worked for many years at Buena Vista County Hospital, and later at the Family Health Center, both in Storm Lake. After retirement, Glenice enjoyed her time as a hospital auxiliary member and volunteer. She was also a lifelong V.F.W. auxiliary member. Besides her family, Glenice enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening, quilting and her little dog, Sophie. She and John shared a common love of camping and fishing. Glenice was preceded in death by her parents, George and Loy Pfrimmer; the love of her life, and her husband and partner for nearly 60 years, John Robinson; her brothers, Fred and Gilbert Pfrimmer; her sisters, Norma Davis, Myrna Murray and Helen Jennings. Survivors include her son, James (Linda) Robinson of Carlisle, Iowa; daughter Malia (Tom) Myers of Tucson, Arizona; daughter Cathy Robinson (Jan Swanger) of Larrabee, Iowa; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren: Jason (Deanna) Robinson and sons Austin and Colyn of Marshalltown, Iowa; Jeffrey (Michelle) Robinson and children Ethan and Emma of Carlisle, Iowa; Travis Myers of Flagstaff, Arizona; Jessica (Daniel) Price and daughter Anna of Bentonville, Arkansas; John (Anita) Bauer and children John, Patrick and Grace of Spirit Lake, Iowa; Tiffany (Justin) Ebert and children Caitlyn, Carly and Jacob of Washta, Iowa; her brothers: Keith (Margaret) Pfrimmer, Donald Pfrimmer, and Dean (Colleen) Pfrimmer, all of Boone, Iowa; one sister, Dorothy Hubbard of Van Meter, Iowa; many extended family members and friends. |
