Dorothy E. Wilson
Services for Mrs. Wilson will be held Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Schaller, with Reverend Terry Pollard officiating. Burial will be in the Storm Lake Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is in charge of the arrangements. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2008 at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller, where the family will be present. Dorothy Estelle Anderson was born January 2, 1912 in rural Buena Vista County, Iowa, the daughter of Charles A. and Anna (Hammer) Anderson. As a young woman she met and married Arthur Wilson on January 11, 1929 in Storm Lake. The couple was blessed with six daughters. Dorothy was a member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women’s Circle. She loved to sew and enjoyed going to arts and crafts clubs. Dorothy loved her family deeply and treasured the time she was able to spend with them. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Doreen and husband Gene Kestel of Storm Lake; Marjorie and husband Douglas Hussey of Ida Grove, Iowa; Glenice and husband George Koth of Marcus, Iowa; Joan Vrana of Sac City, Iowa; and Cheryl Haack of Schaller; grandchildren: Cynthia Waller, Kevin Kestel, Elaine Kennedy, Laurel Walsh, Cetha Henrich, Barry Filer, Diane Filer, Pamela Franco, James Hussey, Angie Konradi, Tom Koth, Dan Koth, David Koth, Bonnie Rahn, Debra Strait, Judy Peck, Susan Burger, Marie Kirsch, Tina Frank, Natalie Ehrp, Chad Ehrp, Donelle Pyle, Stephanie Al Tamimi and Lacey Pyle; 39 great-grandchildren and 35 great-great-grandchildren; extended family and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Bonnye Filer; her brother, George Anderson; her sisters, Nora Nelson and Ruth Ryden; and her sons-in-law, Don Pyle and Duane Haack; grandchildren: Charmaine Hussey, Fred Hussey, John Vrana, Terri Koth Carver; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. |
