Dianne Ehrp, age 58, of Schaller, Iowa, died Monday, January 14, 2008 at her home in rural Schaller, following a short but courageous battle against cancer.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ehrp will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in Schaller.   Burial will be in the Galva Township Cemetery East.  The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is in charge of the arrangements.
  
Friends may call between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller, where the family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. 

Dianne Jean Cork was born on June 29, 1949 in Alta, Iowa, the daughter of Wilfred Earl and Marjorie Ann (Miller) Cork. She spent her youth in the Galva, Iowa area and graduated from Galva High School in 1967. She then attended the American Institute of Business in Sioux City, Iowa.
  
On March 9, 1968, Dianne was united in marriage to Donald Laverne Ehrp at the Silver Creek United Methodist Church in rural Schaller. The couple was blessed with two children: Brian Keith and Michelle Lynn.
  
Dianne and Don raised their family on their dairy farm west of Schaller, where they worked side-by-side in all aspects of the dairy operation, field work and daily farming chores.  True partners in marriage and in life, Don and Dianne would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in March 2008.
  
Dianne was an active, faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Schaller, where she served on the church board, and was a member and past chairperson of the Schaller United Methodist Women. She was very honored to receive the special mission recognition pin this year.
   
Equally active in her community, Dianne was a former 4-H leader, member of Non-Ame, and served as a former secretary and vice-president of AMPI. She also worked at Sparky’s in Schaller for a few years.  When she could find the extra time away from all her activities, Dianne thoroughly loved to shop.  She was also a fabulous cook who greatly enjoyed entertaining. Friends and family were always welcome in her home.
  
A loving wife and devoted mother, Dianne found her greatest joy in life in her family. When her grandchildren came along, they held a special place in her heart. Dianne was known for her bright and cheery smile, and she often shared her laughter with her many friends. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
   
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Don, of Schaller; son Brian (Guadalupe) of Schaller; daughter Michelle (Ricky) Stephan of South Sioux City, Nebraska; grandchildren; Courtney, Rachel, and Payton Stephan and Morgon Ehrp; brothers: Ron (Vicki) Cork of O’Neill, Nebraska and Richard (Florene) Cork of Schaller; sisters: Debra (Terry) Arter of Wall Lake, Iowa and Donna (Allen) Sackett of Schaller;  sisters-in-law Kay Cork of Ida Grove, Iowa and Carolyn Wiese of the Denver, Colorado area;  brothers-in-law: Warren (Linda) Ehrp and Orangy Ehrp, both of Schaller; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
   
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Trevor Stephan; and one brother, John Cork.
