Bounthom Nera, age 64, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Traditional Buddhist Rites will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Bounthom was born November 11, 1943 in Laos. In 1966, he was married to Chai in Laos. The couple was blessed with four children: Catherine, Vilayvanh, Vilayvone and Vilayphone.

Bounthom was a hard worker, but he enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He loved his family and treasured the time he spent with them.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Chai; children: Catherine Chanthasato, Vilayvanh Colalillo, Vilayvone (Thau), and Vilayphone; seven grandchildren, extended family and many friends.

Bounthom was preceded in death by his parents.
