Phout Phanthavong, age 62, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Friday, February 9, 2007 at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake.  Burial will be at the Storm Lake Cemetery.  There will be no visitation. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Phout Phanthavong was born February 5, 1945 in Muang Village, Piboon County, Ubon Rathsathany Province, Thailand, the daughter of Boua Somsamer and Boun Kham Phoumchanh.

In November of 1965, Phout was united in marriage to Thot Phanthavong in Laos.  This union was blessed with eight children.  She worked at Tyson Fresh Meats while living in Storm Lake.

Left to cherish her memory are her father, Boua Somsamer; her husband, Thot Phanthavong; seven sons; one daughter; one brother; one sister; ten grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and a host of friends.

Phout was preceded in death by her mother, two brothers and one sister.
