Louis Henderson
Graveside services for Mr. Henderson will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Aurelia. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. There will be no visitation. Louis was born February 23, 1911 in Keen, Ohio, the son of J. R. and Laura (Beersford) Henderson. He received his education in the Keen schools, graduating from high school there in 1928. On March 4, 1932, Louis was united in marriage to Audrey Colby in Sioux City, Iowa. Louis and Audrey would have celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary this coming March. Louis was employed in sales pursuits during his lifetime and also owned and operated the Pasttime Tap in Storm Lake. He retired in 1997. Louis was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved his family and treasured the time he spent with them. He was a very involved member of several organizations until his health no longer permitted his active participation, including the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake, the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, White Shrine, and Abu Bekr Shrine in Sioux City. He was a 50-year-member of the consistory in Yankton, South Dakota. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Audrey, of Newell, Iowa; son Bob and wife Shirley Henderson of Storm Lake; granddaughter Christy (Rick) Ramthun of Rockwell City, Iowa; grandson Rob (Pat) Henderson of Waconia, Minnesota; great-granddaughters Amy Curran and Ann Henderson; great-great-granddaughter Hailey Curran; extended family and friends. Louis was preceded in death by his parents; and his two brothers. |
