Lucille M. Dannenberg
Funeral Services will be held onFriday, June 22, 2007 at 10:30
a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in
Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake. Lucille Magdalene Miller was born July 18, 1916 in Storm Lake, Iowa to Henry and Ida (Whitmer) Miller. She was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church, receiving her baptism on August 6, 1916 and confirmation on June 23, 1929. She attended and later graduated from Storm Lake High School. On December 28, 1944, Lucille was married to Melvin Dannenberg
in Storm Lake, Iowa. This union was blessed with a daughter, Candace.
Lucille and Mel lived on their farm south of Storm Lake. Lucille
maintained her tax preparation office in downtown Among Lucille’s greatest pleasures was spending time with her friends. She was a member of Wa-Tan-Ye business women’s club, where she worked at various projects alongside dear friends. Lucille was a member of several card groups and enjoyed many hours of card games with her family and friends over the years. Creating beautiful greeting cards was another hobby of Lucille’s, as she used her computer and all sorts of supplies to hand-paint and decorate each and every card. Her pet cat, Dusty, was her constant companion and source of joy. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Candace Madich and husband Robert of Omaha, Nebraska; one sister, Shirley Fliess of Las Vegas, Nevada; several nieces and many friends. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin; her brother, Henry Miller and sister-in-law, Alice Miller;and brother-in-law, John Fliess. |
