Helen Benson, age 89, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007 in Storm Lake.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Benson will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial and a brief graveside service will follow at noon at the Correctionville City Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

There will be a visitation time Saturday morning at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake for one hour prior to service time.

Helen Louise, the only child of Martha and Herman Andresen, was born May 22, 1918 at Schaller, Iowa. She and L. A. Beers were united in marriage in May of 1940. Mr. Beers passed away in 1972. In July of 1976, Helen and Fred W. Benson were joined in marriage in a Boulder, Colorado ceremony.

Survivors include her stepsons, Bradley (Karen) Benson of Osceola, Iowa and Rodney (Margaret) Benson of Charlevoix, Michigan; six grandchildren; special friends Ray and Delores Gabrial of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; several cousins and many friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands.
