Destiny Rivas, age 6, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Saturday, December 22, 2007 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Friends may call on Monday, December 24, 2007 and again on Wednesday, December 26th from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Visitation will continue on Thursday, December 27th from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. at the funeral home, where a vigil and rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Destiny Jezebel Rivas was born May 30, 2001 in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Nancy Rivas. Destiny, a first grade student at South School in Storm Lake, liked to read and color. She enjoyed dancing and being able to dress up. She loved to play with her sister and her friends. She will be remembered as a happy child and will be dearly missed by her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother and fiance, Nancy Rivas and Omar Ocegueda; one sister, Kimberly; maternal grandparents, Nelson and Maria Rivas; paternal grandparents, Arturo and Esther Ocegueda; aunts Kelly Rivas and Karina Ocegueda; uncle Eric Ocegueda; extended family and many friends.
