(Peters) Davis, age 64, of Las Vegas, Nevada, died on March 27, 2007
at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas.
Memorial Services for Mrs. Davis are scheduled for Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, with Reverend Bruce Lesemann officiating. Burial will be in Storm Lake Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be mailed to : Dawn Davis, 5339 Botanical Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89110. Diane was born September 8, 1942 in Storm Lake to Oscar and Evelyn (Boettcher) Peters. She was baptized as an infant on September 27, 1942 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alta, Iowa and later confirmed her faith at her confirmation on. April 29, 1956 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pomeroy, Iowa. Diane was raised and received her education in the Pomeroy and Palmer areas. She graduated from Pomeroy-Palmer High School with the Class of 1960. Diane was employed in an accounting capacity, as well as in the area of security. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and collecting porcelain dolls. Among her special memories were her sister’s wedding, her vacations in Iowa and her parents’ 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Diane and her daughter, Dawn, shared a once-in-a-lifetime experience as they vacationed together in Mexico, which was a gift from Diane to mark Dawn’s senior year and graduation from high school. A caring and giving person, Diane always thought of others before herself. She was always there for her family and friends. In her later years, her grandchildren were especially precious to her heart. She will be dearly missed by all those who loved her. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Dawn Davis of Las Vegas, Nevada; her father, Oscar Peters of Badger, Iowa; her sister, Susan Allen of Eagle Grove, Iowa; her grandchildren: Kylee Louise Horn and Marissa Jaynell Horn, both of Las Vegas; nieces Melanie Lynn Anderson and Jennifer Louise Allen, both of Chariton, Iowa; extended family and a host of friends. Diane was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Peters. |
