Sithane Phiakhamta, age 46, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Sunday, August 20, 2006 at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2006 at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, where the family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Sithane Xaimoungkhoun was born July 13, 1960 in Paksan, Laos. On April 14, 1975, she was married to Jeremy Phiakhamta in Laos. They were blessed with three children: Ken, Bill and Mary.

Sithane was a devoted wife and mother who treasured her family and the time she spent with them. She loved to cook for her family and friends. She liked watching Thai movies, dressing up and going shopping. When her grandchildren were born, they held a very special place in her heart. Sithane’s caring presence will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 31years, Jeremy Phiakhamta of Storm Lake; sons Ken and Bill of Storm Lake; daughter Mary of Iowa City, Iowa; grandsons Marcus and Ethan; two brothers, Kampeui Siharath; one sister, extended family and many friends.

Sithane was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
