Mary Bernice Rian, age 84, of Tucson, Arizona, and formerly of Storm Lake, Iowa, died April 21, 2006 at San Nicholas Senior Home in Tucson.

Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake.

Visitation is Friday, May 12, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, where a Legion of Mary Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. and a parish vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Mary Bernice Rian, nee Toohey, born in Omaha, Nebraska, late of Tucson, Arizona. Preceded in death by her parents, William and Hannah (nee Hopkins) Toohey of Storm Lake, Iowa. Beloved wife of the late Rudolph J. Rian; loving mother of Richard Rianoshek, James (Mary) Rianoshek, Robert Rianoshek, and Susan Rian; proud grandmother of Luke, Gemma, Nicholas and Addie Rose Rianoshek, Mary Kay (John) Shumway, and Joseph (Clarina) Teskie; proud great-grandmother of Kaitlyn and Kierra Shumway, and Alana Teskie; loving sister of William (Rosemary) Toohey, the late Richard (Connie) Toohey, and the late Ann (Don) Oviatt; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Interment will be in Storm Lake, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to your local hospice in honor of Mary’s many years of hospice service in Tucson.
