Memory was born July 21, 1946 in Storm Lake, Iowa to Glenn Curtis and Mary Carol (Flemming) Reimers.  She was raised in the Schaller community, and received her education at the Schaller Community School.  Memory graduated from Schaller High School with the Class of 1964.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Schaller.

In June of 1964, Memory was married to Larry Lowry. Although the marriage ended in divorce, they were blessed with a daughter, Chrystine Lea. Chrystine passed away in 1968. On December 5, 1977, Memory and Jack Congrove were united in marriage in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Memory was a kind and very giving person. She was an avid reader and took great pleasure in spending time outdoors. Cats held a special place in Memory’s life. She traveled extensively during her earlier years and experienced old-world areas such as Jerusalem and Damascus. She loved to write home about her travels and experiences. Memory suffered from Huntington’s Disease, which eventually took her life.

Left to cherish her memory are her father, Glenn Reimers of Schaller; brother Steve and wife Joann Reimers of Schaller; niece Missy and husband Jim Kestel of Galva, Iowa; nephews Shane Reimers and Matt Reimers of Schaller; aunts Muriel Galles of Schaller and Norma Reimers of Marcus, Iowa; great-nieces, cousins and many friends.

Preceding Memory in death were her daughter, Chrystine Lowry; and her mother, Mary Carol Reimers.

Memorials in Memory’s honor will go to Hospice in Kansas, Infinia Care Center in Onaga, and to help find a cure for Huntington’s Disease.
