Madison Foell
Funeral Mass for Madison will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Friends may call at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake on Wednesday evening, January 25, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., where the family will be present. A Parish Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home that same evening at 7:30 p.m. Madison was born July 13, 2005 to first-time parents Nick and Kim (Nielsen) Foell in Omaha, Nebraska. Madison was born with a severe congenital heart defect. Madison endured three open heart surgeries and a number of other procedures during her short life. Throughout these challenges, Madison responded to her parents and family with smiles and love by holding onto their fingers. The Foells' beautiful baby girl loved to be held and cuddled. Madison showed her spirit and fought hard for her life, earning her the nickname of “Miracle Madison.” She was and will always be a blessing to her family and her friends. Madison left footprints in the hearts of many forever. She is loved and will never be forgotten. Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Nick and Kim Foell; maternal grandparents Dave and Debbie Nielsen of Fremont, Nebraska; paternal grandparents Jim and Terry Foell of Storm Lake; paternal great-grandparents: Dick and Pat Johnson and Helen Foell of Storm Lake; maternal great-grandparents: Dennis and Doris Kreikemeier and Leo and Genie Gerken, both of West Point, Nebraska, and Ray Nielsen of Fremont, Nebraska; aunts and uncles: Jamey and Amy Wojciechowski of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Bret and Mindy Wiltse of Burlington, Iowa; and Jeff Foell and Jon Foell of Storm Lake; Tammy Nielsen, Scott Nielsen and Vicki Nielsen, all of Fremont, Nebraska; plus many cousins, extended family and a host of friends. Madison was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Richard Gerken; her maternal great-grandmother, Edith Pauline Nielsen; and her paternal great-grandfather, Richard Foell. |
