Mary A. Euchner, age 79, of Storm Lake, Iowa died on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Friendship Haven Nursing Home in Fort Dodge.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 7, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake with Reverend Duane Queen officiating. Burial will follow at the Storm Lake Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.

Mary Adeline Garver was born on July 2, 1927 to H.(Harry) Woodford and Edna (Hoppe) Garver in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  She lived with her family in Fort Dodge where she attended school, graduating from Fort Dodge High School in 1945.  Following graduation, Mary attended Iowa State Teachers College where she attained her bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1949.

On November 23, 1950, Mary was united in marriage to Richard Euchner in Fort Dodge.  They were married 50 years before Richard died on April 6, 2001.  This union was blessed with two children: Ann and Ruth.

Mary took great pride in making a warm and safe home for her family.  She liked to travel, read and enjoyed all the time she spent with her family.  Her home was made in Storm Lake at 1312 Lochedem for over 45 years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Ann Myles and her husband Kent of Sylvania, Ohio and Ruth Ellen Euchner of Manchester, Michigan; one granddaughter, Sara Myles of Sylvania; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Jim (Marian) Euchner, Russell (Beverly) Euchner, Chuck (Connie) Euchner; special friends Melvin and Clara Samuelson; niece, Carrie Olmsted of East Lansing, Michigan and the Euchner family nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Preceding Mary in death were her parents, husband Richard, and sister Ann Olmsted.
