Lloyd McKibban
Funeral Services will be Monday at 2:00 pm at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake with Pastor Jim Steen officiating. Burial will follow at the Storm Lake Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 2:00 pm Sunday at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home where the family will greet friends from 4-6 pm. Lloyd Everett McKibban was born November 28, 1929 in Maxberg, Iowa to Everett William and Golda (Douglas) McKibban. After his father’s death, his mother was remarried to his stepfather Don Raner. On August 25, 1963, Lloyd was united in marriage to Deloris Jenkins in Winnebago, Minnesota. Their union was blessed with four children: Margarett, Betty, Lloyd Jr., and Will. Throughout Lloyd’s life he worked as a farm hand doing anything and everything required to keep the farm in order. He retired in 1997, however always kept his love of farming alive by driving throughout the countryside watching the crops progress. Lloyd also enjoyed tinkering in the yard and especially loved visiting with his friends and family. Above all, Lloyd loved his family and was a devoted husband and wonderful father and grandfather. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years Deloris McKibban of Early; two daughters Margarett (Kendall) Zobel of Galva, IA; Betty Walters of Mason City, IA; three sons Lloyd Jr. (Michelle) McKibban of Sioux Falls, SD; Will (fiancé Michelle) McKibban of Fort Dodge, IA; Jim Simonds of St. Louis, MO; eleven grandchildren Jared, Christie, Michael, Abigail, Sarah, Mitchell, Alyssa, Erica, Alec, Jacob, and Sidney; one great-grandchild Sophie; three brothers Dale (Theressa) McKibban of Livermore, IA; Paul (Katie) McKibban of Livermore, IA; and Richard McKibban of Little Rock, AR; one uncle Delbert Douglas. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Brittney, and two sisters. |
