Kathryn “Kathy” Harrington, age 58, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Monday, May 29, 2006 at her home in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 10:30 a.m., at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, with Pastor Jack Barber officiating.  The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.   

Kathryn Bristow was born August 13, 1947 in McCook, Nebraska, to Norwood Edward and Ruth Anna (Nickels) Bristow.  She lived with her family in the Linn Grove, Iowa area where she was baptized at the Methodist Church and graduated from Linn Grove High School in 1965.

Kathy was united in marriage to Lance Harrington on January 13, 1968 in Minnesota. This union was blessed with two children: Hank and Russell.  She found much delight in raising her children and caring for her family.

From 1990-2005, Kathy was the president of Harrington Trucking, Inc. She enjoyed mowing her yard, working in her garden and canning her produce.  But more than anything, Kathy cherished and loved the time she spent with her family and took pride in keeping “her guys” in line.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Norwood and Ruth Anna Bristow and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Kate Harrington.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 38 years, Lance Harrington of Storm Lake; sons, Hank Harrington of Storm Lake and Russell Harrington of Storm Lake; brother, Nick Bristow and his wife Jerrie and their children, Nick and Carla of Serrard, Illinois; aunt Louise Retz of Washington D.C.; as well as host of extended family and many friends.
