Heuang Khounlo
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial will be Sunday, November 12, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Storm Lake Cemetery. Pastor Barry Thongvanh will officiate. Friends may call on Friday, November 10, 2006 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, where the family will be present. Burial will be Sunday, November 12, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Storm Lake Cemetery. Heuang was born September 13, 1933 in Hanoi, the daughter of Bong and Mouane Baccam. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Southeast Asian Community ThaiDam Church. She regularly attended church and enjoyed participating in church functions. Heuang took pride in sewing her own clothing and in her garden of herbs and vegetables. She loved her family and the time she could spend with them. She not only raised her own children, but her grandchildren also. Her family will remember her as a sweet, giving person who took care of everyone. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Bao (Billy) Khounlo, Boun (Mike) Khounlo, Sene (Duke) Khounlo, Kham Khounlo, all of Storm Lake; and Chay Lo of Denison, Iowa; her sisters: Nho Lo of Storm Lake; Nhouai Baccam and Pa Baccam of Slona, Vietnam; grandchildren: Barbie Synarong, Minna Sithep, Jimmy Khounlo and Toni Khounlo, all of Des Moines, Iowa; Skyler Khounlo of Storm Lake; Sommay Khounlo of Memphis, Tennessee; Brandi Khounlo and Eric Khounlo, both of Virginia; Shannon Comparan of Storm Lake; Justin Lo, Jessica Lo and Jaclyn Lo of Denison; as well as many other relatives and a host of friends. Heuang was preceded in death by her parents, Bong & Mouane Baccam; her husband, Van Khounlo; her daughter, Bor Khounlo; her son, Bau Khounlo; brothers Oune, Chay and Theu Baccam; sisters Oume and Teu Baccam; and sister-in-law, Dzome Khounlo |
