Elsie Kacmarynski
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2006 at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. Father Al Reicks will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Sioux Rapids. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Friends may call from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2006 at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, where the family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A family-led rosary will be recited at 3:30 and a parish vigil service will be held at 7:00, both at the funeral home. Elsie Rosella Boyd was born April 13, 1932 in Storm Lake, Iowa to Deruelle Barr Boyd and Ila Mae (Thayer) Boyd. She was baptized into the Methodist faith as an infant. Elsie graduated from Early High School in 1950. On November 6, 1950, Elsie was united in marriage to Norbert Kacmarynski in Storm Lake. They were blessed with 14 children. Elsie enjoyed gardening and needlework, she collected dolls, and she liked all kinds of cats. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sioux Rapids. But above all, Elsie was a devoted wife and mother who loved to care for her family. Her kind and gentle presence will be dearly missed. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Norbert, of Linn Grove; son Larry (Debbie)Kacmarynski of Rembrandt, Iowa; daughter Emma (Bob) Claypool of Bemidji, Minnesota; son Andy (Pam) Kacmarynski of Solon, Iowa; daughter Marlene (Jerry) Bibler of Peterson, Iowa; son Raymond (Barb) Kacmarynski of Ida Grove, Iowa; son Dennis (Mary) Kacmarynski of Spencer, Iowa; daughter Lauretta (Terry) Bauer of Audubon, Iowa; son Matthew Kacmarynski of Lennox, South Dakota; daughter Karen (Jeff) James of Alta, Iowa; son Steven (Vikki) Kacmarynski of Quincy, Illinois; daughter Linda (Randy) Nieman of Primghar, Iowa; daughter Angie (Paul) Niccum of Aurora, Colorado; 31 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; extended family and a host of friends. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter Sue Kacmarynski; infant son Leo Kacmarynski; infant sister Dorothy Mae Boyd; sister Marian Wernimont; and her brother, James Boyd. |
