Beverly Ernst, age 65, of Newell, Iowa died Monday, August 7, 2006 at Newell Good Samaritan Home.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Congregational Church in Newell, with Greg Baskerville officiating.  Burial will be in Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Newell is in charge of the arrangements.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Newell, where family will be present.

Beverly Jean Blaskowski was born on December 15, 1940 to John and Edna (Walworth) Blaskowski in Bismarck, North Dakota.  She was one of thirteen children born to this union.

On April 22, 1960, Beverly was united in marriage to George H. Ernst.  They were blessed with seven children: Karen, Bonnie, Joey, Tammy, Daniel, Chris and Amy.

Over the years, Beverly found great joy in raising her family and taking care of their needs.  In her later years, she delighted in watching her grandchildren grow and took time to play ball with them.  She was a great fan of the Minnesota Twins and often spent time listening to their ballgames.  Beverly also enjoyed collecting bells.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Karen and husband Tom Christensen;  daughter Bonnie and husband Steven Hopper and their children David and Joshua; son Joey and wife Ginny Ernst and their children Kayla and her husband John, Mitch, Austin and Ashley; daughter Tammy and husband Larry Laird and their children Nick, Lesli and Kiley; son Daniel Ernst and his children Kerry, Shelby and Spencer;  son Chris and his wife Jessica Ernst and their children Shanel, Alexia, Janessa and Zander;  daughter Amy and her husband Ray Koster; four brothers: Oscar and wife Char Blaskowski, John and wife Dawn Blaskowski, Jim and wife Jeanette Blaskowski and Robert and wife Donna Blaskowski; eight sisters: Helen and husband Bob Judisch, JoAnne and husband Tim Rehborg, Mary Ann and husband Kenny Hanson, Margaret and husband Dennis Brown, Anna and husband Jerry Boffin, Elizabeth and husband Tony Hahn, Patsy and husband Jim Perry, Rose and husband James Gillespie; as well as extended family and friends.

Preceding Beverly in death by her parents, John and Edna Blaskowski and her husband, George H. Ernst.
