Chad Thompson
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2005 at 1:00 pm at the Church of Christ in Storm Lake, with Pastor Jack Barber officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Alta with military rites by the AMVETS Post #66 of Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home of Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. Friends may call at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake on Sunday, October 2, 2005 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., where the family will be present. Chad David Guinn Thompson was born December 6, 1975 in Harrisonville, Missouri, Cass county to Michael and Beverly (Lee) Guinn. He attended elementary schools in Alta, Storm Lake, and Lawton-Bronson, graduating in 1994 from Lawton-Bronson High School. Following high school, Chad entered the U.S. Air Force on May 2, 1995 serving in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm at Fort Pope, North Carolina in the Honor Guard. He received the Air Force Training Ribbon and the National Defense Service Medal, prior to his honorable discharge on November 30, 1995. Upon his discharge, Chad received technical training for auto mechanics. Chad was currently employed at Prairie Fabrications, a division of Bodholdt Brothers Plumbing and Heating. He enjoyed drawing and playing his guitar. Left to cherish his memory are mother, Beverly Guinn of Alta; two brothers, Jamie Guinn and his wife Dyanna of Monett, Missouri and Andy Guinn and Kim Marshall of Mount Vernon, Missouri; one sister Tammy Miller and her husband Corey of Alta; ten nieces and nephews; special friend, Erin McAlister of Bayard, Iowa; aunts, uncles, and a host of other family and friends. Chad was preceded in death by his father and his paternal and maternal grandparents. |
