Victor A. Durán
Funeral mass for Mr. Durán will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake, with Father Eriberto Da Costa officiating. Burial will be in the Storm Lake Cemetery under the direction of the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Friends may attend a traditional 24-hour Hispanic vigil from 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Victor A. Durán was born on December 7, 1971 in El Salvador where he was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith before coming to the United States with his family. They settled in Storm Lake where he attended high school. After high school Victor enrolled in the Radio Training Academy extension program. He worked at KAYL radio in Storm Lake and also worked in the electrician field. On October 5, 2002, Victor was united in marriage to Maria Isabel Romero at the church of St. Mary in Storm Lake, where he and Isabel were members. He recalled his wedding day as the happiest of his life. Victor loved music and enjoyed listening to it. He was very happy with his job in the radio business. He loved children and he and Isabel looked forward to starting their own family. He was a loving husband, a devoted son, a dear brother and a wonderful friend to many. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Isabel; his parents, Nicolaza Durán Rodriguez and Manuel De Jesus Zetino Toloza; brothers: Jose Guillermo Durán Zetino and Carlos Alberto Durán Zetino; sisters: Maria Esther Durán Zetino, Irma Noemi Durán Zetino, Ana Margarita Durán Zetino, and many other family members and friends. Victor was preceded in death by Ricardo Durán Zetino. |
