Mabel V. Benjamin
Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 16, 2004 at 10:30 am at the United Methodist Church in Galva. Burial will be in the Laurel Cemetery in Laurel, Nebraska. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, August 15, 2004 at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller where the family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 pm. Mable Benjamin was born August 26, 1912 in Hartington, Nebraska where she lived with her parents. She received her education in Hartington, graduating from Hartington High School. Mable was united in marriage to Clarence Benjamin in her family’s home on March 5, 1937. Mable and Clarence moved to their farm near Galva in 1948, retiring to town in 1976. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed helping with the daily activities on the farm. Mable loved flowers and gardening, and was fond of traveling especially to Texas with Clarence every year with their 5th wheel camper. Those glad to have shared their lives with Mable are her many nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other extended family members and friends. Mable was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence on February 9, 1984, five sisters: Bessie, Pearl, Anna and two infant sisters, and one brother Henry. |
