Irma Krause

Irma M. Todd Krause, age 91, formerly of Storm Lake and Charles City, died Friday, July 2, 2004 at her home in Foulk Manor North in Wilmington, Delaware where she had made her home since December of 1999.

Graveside services will be scheduled later with inurnment in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City. Friends who wish to send condolences to the family may do so online or by mail to Pamela Kane, 801 Wilson Road, Wilmington, DE 19803.

Irma M. Todd was born May 1, 1913 in Bremer County, Iowa near Waverly the daughter of George and Daisy (Perry) Todd. She graduated from Charles City High School with the class of 1931.

On April 20, 1941, she was united in marriage to Marvin A. Krause in Austin, Minnesota. He died on November 6, 1991.

The couple moved to Storm Lake, Iowa in 1964 from Charles City. Irma enjoyed playing golf and belonged to both the Alta and Lake Creek Country Clubs. She also was an avid bridge player.

She is survived by a daughter Pamela Kane and her husband, B. Anderson Hopkins and by a son Don and his wife Bonny all of Wilmington, DE. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Elizabeth and John Kane, Susan and Daniel Krause and Robert and Maxwell Hopkins, four nephews and numerous extended family members and friends.

Preceding Irma in death were her parents, her husband, two sisters Hazel Todd Schmidt and Rozeltha E. Jones, a brother Eldon G. Todd and two infant sisters Viola and Madge.
