Genevieve Carnine

Genevieve Carnine, age 78, of Storm Lake, died May 29, 2003 at the Methodist Manor in Storm Lake.

Genevieve Morris was born June 14, 1924 in Galva, Iowa, the daughter of Dr. Andrew and Myrtle (Correll) Morris. She attended school in Galva, graduating from Galva High School in 1942.

On October 31, 1976 Genevieve was united in marriage to Lester V. Carnine in Storm Lake.

Genevieve was a member of the Alta Church of Christ. She had received her baptism in 1974.

Genevieve worked as a sales clerk in Omaha and California in her early years, then at Feldman’s in Storm Lake. She enjoyed reading, church activities and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Lester V. Carnine of Storm Lake; son Robert G. Francis of Seabrook, Texas; daughter Patricia L. Niemeier of Galva; step-sons Leslie Carnine and Barry Carnine; step-daughter Patricia Boatman; sister Margaret Russell of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren: Rachel and husband Chris Swales of Cedar Falls, Michael Niemeier of Okoboji, Jodi Kincaid and Natalie Kincaid, both of Des Moines; step-grandchildren Wendy and husband John Presston of Wichita Falls, Texas and Thad and wife Julie Carnine of Edmund, Oklahoma; great-grandchild Kaeley Kincaid; step great-grandchildren Conner and Caroline Presston and Kailey Carnine; and other extended family members and friends.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. A.S. and Myrtle Morris and brothers Gerald Morris and Burdette Morris.
