| John "Ralph" Flowers, age 53, of Storm Lake, Iowa died February 15, 2010 at his home in Storm Lake.
John Flowers was born August 24, 1956 in Storm Lake, Iowa, the son of Walter and Margaret (Miller) Flowers. John attended school at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Storm Lake where he graduated in 1974. Following high school, he continued his education at Buena Vista University where he received his degree. John was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan. He enjoyed going on walks, driving around, riding his bicycle, golfing and cross country skiing. John loved his dog, Tanner and enjoyed taking Tanner and the neighbor’s dog out for walks. John was an unbelievable story teller and jokester and was frequently found making his friends and family laugh. Those left to cherish John’s memory include his siblings: Nancy Lynch of Fonda, Iowa; Rita (Joe) Long of Iowa City, Iowa; Carol Karr of Fonda, Iowa; Robert Flowers of Arlington, Texas; Rose (Bernard) Smithee of Arlington, Texas; Richard (Maria) Flowers of Aurora, Colorado; James Flowers of Arlington, Texas; nieces; nephews; extended family and many friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Margaret Flowers; his brother, William Flowers; his grandparents; one niece; and one nephew.
